As a Senior Medical Advisor you will support the UK Business andprovide internal and external medical support by being an expert on product, patient treatment trends and scientific activities within the disease area, ensuring compliance with SOPs as well as legal and ethical standards.
Medical Affairs input at UK and European level to ensure UK representation in European development plans and lifecycle management plans.
Participate and be an active member in the UK Medical and Brand teams in order to provide medical input into Brand Strategy.
Lead local strategies and ensure alignment with European strategies.
Assess promotional materials to ensure that all claims are supported by scientific data and presented in an accurate, fair and balanced manner, ensuring compliance with SOPs as well as legal and ethical standards
Ensure compliance with SOPs, GCP, GMP and ICH as well as legal and ethical standards.
Assess, review and approve all promotional materials to ensure that all claims are supported by scientific data and are presented in a fair, accurate and balanced way in compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
Continuously develop own professional skills and knowledge in order to make a valued contribution to the development of individual and team performance at the company, harnessing this knowledge by providing a broad perspective to strategic discussions
Demonstrates a commitment to own development by showing advanced presentation skills and expertise in behavioural techniques and product and therapy area knowledge.
Responsible for maintaining own clinical knowledge and in doing so ensure that key information is communicated throughout the company accurately and timely.
As Local Safety Officer, maintain the UK Pharmacovigilance System
GMC Registered Physician or UK-registered pharmacist with a higher degree At least one year experience as an ABPI final signatory. Full driving licence or ability to travel within the UK.
Person experience required
Essential: Experience of working in a medical advisor, clinical research or similar role where there is strong evidence of gaining healthcare professional insight and providing medical input into brand strategy. Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new therapy areas and environments. Knowledge of the UK National Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of statistical methods. Experience of working effectively in cross functional teams. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with External Experts. Demonstrated ability to write scientific publications. Knowledge of pricing issues and experience of contribution to HTA dossiers. Complete knowledge of UK and EU regulations e.g. MHRA, GVP. Advanced presentation skills. Advanced user of Microsoft Office software products. Desirable: Experience in the CV and thrombosis Disease Area. Innovative approaches to managing external customers and internal partners Leading edge approaches to capturing customer insight Previous experience of leading and managing teams. Knowledge of key markets research terms and modes of analysis Knowledge of clinical trial design and process.
